Key Account Manager

Due to excellent growth we are now looking to recruit a Key Account Manager for AstaReal AB to drive the sales and expand the brand.

The Role
As Key Account Manager you will join a group of like minded individuals to grow the sales and develop the brand of the product and the company. You will be responsible for identifying local market trends, assessing market potential and developing strategies to grow AstaReal's market share. You will then devise and implement effective strategies for sales & promotion for existing and potential future customers. Your short term focus will be on food supplements with a mid to long term focus on food ingredients.

The Company
AstaReal AB was the first company in the world to commercially produce natural astaxanthin from microalgae. Astaxanthin is nature's most powerful antioxidant and AstaReal AB continues to lead the way in the production and innovation of natural astaxanthin which is used be leading food supplement and cosmetic brands around the world. Produced in Sweden and marketed under the AstaReal® brand, AstaReal AB produces natural astaxanthin products that exceed market standards.

The Person
You will have extensive sales experience with specialty ingredients and have an established network with leading companies within the food and/or food supplement industries. You will be a proactive team player that takes initiative with a 'get up and go' attitude. You will have strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative working style and an enthusiasm for building partnerships among key stakeholders. You articulate well and have strong communication skills along with ability to deliver a credible message to existing and potential customers, peers, investors and other key audiences.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
* Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
* Negotiate prices, contracts and quantities and assuring that agreements are adhered to
* Handle new product introductions, calling in appropriate technical support as needed
* Liaise regularly with the R&D team to understand new ingredient developments and develop sales strategy
* Awareness of regulatory environments
* Working with CEO and M&S Manager to develop market entry strategy for food ingredients market.

Key Requirements

* Bachelor's degree (scientific, marketing, sales, finance related field)
* Minimum 5 years B2B specialty ingredient sales experience in food and food supplement industries
* Established network in the food and food supplement industry
* Well versed in the various regulatory frameworks for food and food supplements in Europe
* Fluency in English plus other language(s) is highly advantageous (German and/or French)
