Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Within the Strategic Account Management function of Sales & Marketing, the OEM Sales team is globally responsible for direct sales to international bodybuilders (OEM’s). We’re currently a team of 5 people working with a wide array of accounts, in several industries, to provide a solution from Scania that meets and exceeds the customer expectations. The team has been on a successful growth journey for the last few years and is looking for a person to contribute to this, as one of the colleagues is moving on to a new assignment.

Your role:

You will have the responsibility for Scania’s business & strategy with a number of OEM’s. You work to build an effective relationship and ensure that both parties capture the full potential of the collaboration. You will be responsible for ensuring that we act in accordance with Scania's purpose to drive the shift towards sustainable transport solutions, realizing the opportunities to reduce carbon emissions for our customers and end-users. Actively finding new potentials to grow in these accounts, as well as prospecting new customers will be part of your assignment. You will interact with several different departments and functions within Scania, and act as the voice of the customer. This role entails a direct sales responsibility wherein you’re expected to travel to the customers and industry events.

Who you are?

We’re looking for a person with a can-do attitude, who relishes a challenge and turns it into an opportunity. You likely have experience in an international sales role, selling complex solutions, and you’re comfortable interacting with customers and stakeholders, internal as well as external. The role has a high degree of technical sales elements, having the experience and interest for this is highly meriting. Having the ability to influence decision-making and strong negotiation skills are qualities we value. Since we’re working in an international environment, you should be able to navigate different cultures and able to interact with all levels of the customer account. You act with integrity in these situations and feel comfortable handling tough discussions whenever they occur. Advanced communication skills in both verbal and written form are required. You likely have a university degree in business or engineering, or have acquired relevant experiences through your career. You are fluent in English and other language skills are meriting.
