Arbetsbeskrivning
iZettle is staffing up to help our rapidly growing developer experience effort in the Partnership Area. You will get the opportunity to work with other talented people and teams to help us create a best in class developer experience for our industry. In order to do either role effectively, you meet the teams to know who they are and what products they build. And work with the teams using their own workflows (e.g. Jira & GitHub).
Why are we hiring a content strategist instead of a traditional tech writer position? The short answer is - your product reflects your organisation. We believe the best developer experience will be a reflection of all our teams building new features and use cases for iZettle - and not just a few people. This is one role in a team that will together be driving a collaboration model of documenting iZettle’s APIs, SDK and Use Cases for the developer community. We want to take this developer experience to a new level.
About you:
The successful candidate for this role loves the editorial aspects of technical writing. This role is really iZettle’s chief editor for the developer experience. They will contribute to developing and implementing an end-to-end content strategy across domains in alignment with the Dev Experience team intent.
Another key part of this role is to coach contributors on how to communicate info effectively. Taking the Inventory API for example, your editorial guidelines might specify a structure to documenting APIs that is not being followed. Follow-up about this with the responsible team and stress the importance of being consistent with your guidelines, answer questions, etc.
This role will also have lots of important stakeholders to work with. Here are some examples:
Serve as a stakeholder in tooling and technical work that impact docs users.
Feedback from PMs, Designers, Analysts and Engineers to propose content projects to content owners that further our content strategy.
Discussions with all the product teams on how they should be contributing documentation (e.g. your content guidelines).
The right candidate for this role is able to effectively synthesise all these inputs in order to form their own point of view and drive the content strategy for iZettle’s Docs. The result will be more thorough and consistent documentation input from all product teams who contribute.
We're all for equality for all.
Tattoo artists. Dog groomers. Cake bakers. Jewellery makers. You name them - at iZettle - we help them. And to do that well, we need our people to be as unique and diverse as they are. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and together we uphold PayPal’s One Team Behaviour, striving to be a place where everyone can benefit from equal access to professional development, bring their whole self to work and most of all, feel like they belong.
