Kurator / Student Counsellor

Our company is well established with 13 years of experience in operating independent schools.We are one of the most successfull schools in Sweden, with seven other schools (grades 6-9) established throughout the country. Internationella Engelska Skolan i Täby is located in Näsbypark on Nytorpsvägen 7.During our first year of operation (2006/2007) we accommodated ca 370 students, in grades 6-9 and have grown to ca 570 students the school year 2007/2008.Our profile is bilingualism and multi-culturalism, with a holistic outlook.We focus on learning, knowledge and high academic standards.Careful planning, orderliness and respect for each other are emphasized to create a safe and pleasant work environment for students and staff. Our student counsellor is leaving us in January 2008 and we are looking for someone to step in for her during the year she is absent. Qualifications needed; The equivalence of the Swedish Socionomexamen.We are looking for a professional, creative and dynamic member of staff.Because Internationella Engelska Skolan i Täby is still an expanding school, you will have a unique opportunity to create a new school and in co-operation with your colleagues formulate your own work within the legal framework of schools in Sweden.We have a number of students that do not speak Swedish and at the same time have a number of student that are struggling with English, therefore you have to be able to communicate with them in English and Swedish.This requires a high level of knowledge in both languages.
