Lab Technician to AkzoNobel

For the color team in Malmö, which is part of our global development lab within Wood Coatings, we are now looking for our new talent as a lab technician. Together with 5 colleagues, the color team is responsible for technology platforms and development projects related to color matching.

What will you do?
The daily work takes place both in the laboratory and in our modern Technical Application Center where full-scale applications are used to simulate customer processes.
Here we work with the development of colors for our customers, sales functions and production - in close collaboration with our color lab in Hilden, Germany.

As a lab technician, your main tasks are:
• Color matching to specifications
• Technical support and support to customers, sales technicians, production, laboratories and suppliers in both Sweden and the rest of Europe
• Communicate and update systems in relation to changes that occur
• Daily management of color software system

Who we are looking for
To succeed in this position, you need to appreciate an environment with a high pace and short lead times from our customers. You have an educational background in the field of chemical engineering, or you have acquired equal skills through previous professional roles. This position presumes good color vision.

As a person, you are solution-oriented with the ability to work independently and structured. You feel comfortable prioritizing and running many cases at the same time, even under pressured conditions. You are also a team player who creates good relationships and collaborations with both internal and external stakeholders.

You have excellent knowledge in English in both speech and writing, as well as good general IT knowledge and handling of Word, Excel etc.
