Laborant/BMA

We are looking for a laboratory technician to join our team in Södertälje, Sweden. A successful candidate has experience in laboratory maintenance and work related to in vitro experiments and sample preparation.
You will be responsible for the laboratory operations. The role is to support scientific investigations by carrying out laboratory-work, use and maintenance of laboratory equipment, sample preparation, following experimental protocols, conducting tests and delivering data/findings/prepared samples to scientists.
The performance of the tasks requires good collaboration skills, attention to details, critical thinking and a sense of responsibility for the quality and ethics of research.
Lab Technician Responsibilities
• Collecting, receiving, labeling and storing samples or substances using established
processes.
• Maintenace of laboratory stock including ordering laboratory supplies, as needed.
• Organizing,storing and documenting all laboratory material, including chemical substances and fluids, according to procedures and safety instructions.
• Maintenace of equipment including cleaning and calibration.
• Executing laboratory work in line with guidance and standard procedures.
• Recording of activities in a specified format (written and/or electronic.)
• Follow and adhere to work safety and health guidelines at all times within the laboratory.
Lab Technician Qualifications
• BMA or Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as a lab technician.
• Understanding of laboratory work best practices.
• IT skills (MS Office Suite)
• Team player with ability to work autonomously
• Good written and spoken English skills.
• Physical requirment: Ability to operate in a laboratory environment
