Laboratory Assistant

Job description
A new clinical laboratory in Solna has opened up with the purpose to increase the national capacity for analysis of Covid-19 infection. The lab is expanding and is looking for a laboratory assistant. The work will consist of assisting in the process of analyzing COVID-19 samples. The lab is located at Biomedicum in Solna, offering state of the art facilities.

Areas of responsibility
The role incorporates responsibility for receiving and heat-inactivating COVID-19 samples and assisting in the process for analyzing samples with molecular biology methods, such as PCR & ELISA.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a bachelor’s degree within molecular biology or similar. You should feel confident with the lab environment and preferably with the PCR and ELISA techniques.

To enjoy this position it is important that you like spending time at the lab and are willing to work shifts and weekends. You feel comfortable with independently planning and documenting your work. You appreciate the importance of teamwork and it is therefore important that you are flexible and have good collaboration skills. As a person you are structured and communicative. Since the lab is relatively newly started it is good if you like to be part of improvement processes.
