Laboratory assistant in Quaternary Palaeoecology

The Department of Biology and Environmental Sciense is part of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. The research activities within this multidisciplinary faculty include Environmental Science with seven research groups of which Palaeoecology is one.

The palaeoecology research group seeks one laboratory assistant for palaeoecological analyses such as pollen, plant macrofossil, insect and charcoal analyses in lake sediments and peat. The position is for six months at 50%.

Applicants should have a master degree in biology, environmental science or similar. Skills at making illustrations with computer drawing programs and some expertise in GIS are welcome. Documented training in pollen analysis is an advantage. The position is located at Kalmar, Sweden.
