Qiagen DNA Synthesis AB (former SGS DNA AB) in Sweden, has produced high quality synthetic DNA for diagnostic purpose for more than 30 years. We are situated in Västerås and has around 100 employees. We apply the medical directives, ISO13485 (EU) and 21CFR820 (USA). Our production is carries out in accordance with GMP.

Position Description
Do you have a passion for working in a laboratory? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment? We're looking for great teammates that have these qualities and want to make a difference by cultivating good manufacturing practices (GMP's) and company quality principles to deliver the product performance and quality for the consumers of Qiagen DNA Synthesis AB .
As a QC/Media Laboratory Assistant at Qiagen DNA Synthesis AB, Västerås (Sweden) you will work in a manufacturing laboratory environment that stays in sync with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). The work will require collection, preparing buffer, column packing, analysis, and results recording related to start, intermediate and finished product, and stability samples.
We believe you have previous experience working in a laboratory, and are interested in a hands-on career in a QC/Media laboratory as well as being curious about the world of quality.
Position Requirements
Qualification/Education/Experience:
Laboratory experience is a Must.
Specif~ic knowledge of quality management systems, ISO13485 (EU) and 21CFR820 (USA) is a plus.
Have a 2 year degree or more in a Science Field.
Familiar with Lean and 5S concepts, as well as FMEA, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology is a plus.
Very good knowledge in Swedish and English (written and spoken) is necessary.

· Are able to work under high pressure and tight deadlines
· Have Computer literacy sufficient to use standard software (MS Office) as well as the ability to learn specific software and instrumentation.
· Perform routine calculations pertaining to analytical chemistry (e.g. dilution, concentration, test results).
· Possess experience and knowledge of basic laboratory operations such as weighing, titrating ,preparing volumetric solutions and pipetting.
· Interpret analytical method procedures and safety instructions using standard chemistry terms and measures.
· Are willing to wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection, wherever these things are necessary
