Laboratory Assistant to AkzoNobel in Malmö

Akzo Nobel Industrial Coatings is a leading manufacturer of paints and coatings for industrial surface finishing. We provide beauty and protection to wood products such as windows, doors, cabinet, floors and furniture's. In Sweden we have approximately 300 employees at our office and production site in Sege/Malmö.

Responsibilities

We have an immediate opening due to expansion in Malmö WFA RD&I department.

The Global Development Teams within Wood Coatings is responsible for ownership of technology platforms and large development projects globally. The working group with the opening holds the responsibility for development of resins, the interior technologies UV curing and 1C waterbone. A global development group for exterour coatings within Wood Coatings also exists on the site.

The main part of the work includes performing and staying updated of the various tests needed for the interiour wood finishes globally. Example can be various mechanical test like mesuring scratch resistance, adheion as well as performing stain and chemical resistance tests.

Other type of task that needs to be executed is benchmarking test as well as being an expert in various applicaton method and will perform these task to some extent for the rest of the team to help the team excel in this area. Also producing samples for customer tests, setting the parameters for the production process and the quality control may be a part of the work.

All tasks should aim to follow and to reach the established specifications and predetermined time frames. The work includes handling all documentation needed for writing test protocols and application reports.

Requirements
Graduate from high school or similar knowledge obtained through work experience. Beneficial but not necessery is previous coating realated experience.

You are a good communicator, both in writing and verbally and fluent in both Swedish and English. As a person you are reliable, flexible and able to manage many ask tasks at the same time.
