Laboratory Engineer

At Essity, our ambition is to increase health and hygiene standards across the world and currently we are looking for laboratory engineers to join our laboratory departments within Baby and Incontinence products. We have now several permanent positions to fill and strengthen our R&D department with.

About the role
Currently we have several positions within the R&D laboratory organization, with focus on different products within Baby and Incontinence segment.
As a laboratory engineer you will represent our laboratories in many perspectives, be responsible for product testing, be part of innovation projects as well as supporting our business units. In your role as a Laboratory Engineer you will be faced with various tasks, both practical and theoretical. We will enable you to further develop and strengthen your competencies such as project skills, method development and statistical analysis.
What you will do
Plan, test, analyze and statistically evaluate different development products and solutions
Present, document and report test results
Maintain knowledge about test methods and competence area, within own working field 
Participate in innovation projects, value engineering and business support activities and work in cross-functional teams
Develop, evaluate, and validate new laboratory methods to meet consumer and business needs

Who you are
To be successful in the role of a laboratory engineer at Essity you need to have an interest in product testing and enjoy working in a high pace project environment. More so, it is required of you to have couple of years of experience of laboratory work and experience of task coordination within projects.
Furthermore, you will need:
Technical university degree (minimum BSc degree preferably in Chemistry, Mechanical or Textile)
Good experience in statistical analysis and analytical abilities are advantages
Good communication and presentation skills in written reports as well as in discussions
To be a good team player with high collaborative skills cross-functionally
Fluent in verbal and written English
