Job description
Do you want to work at a company with high-quality research products in the Life Science area? Atlas Antibodies was founded 2006 and has grown organically since its inception. We are currently about 80 employees who develop, produce, market and sell research reagents to scientists at academic and industrial labs all around the world. We are in an exciting expansion phase and are looking for an experienced and motivated laboratory engineer that thrive in the laboratory and has previous experience with antibody-based immune detection methods. 

Responsibilities
In this Laboratory Engineer role, you will join the Research and Development department and a team of laboratory engineers and scientists responsible for product life-cycle management and product validation. The role includes but is not limited to the following tasks:


hands-on laboratory work, primarily with focus on methods using Western-Blot, Immunocytochemistry as well as additional immune-based and biochemical methods.
perform protocol and method optimizations  
write and issue technical specifications which later will be used by the Quality Control group for the purpose of Quality Control during product release. 
lead and participate in continuous improvement projects with the aim of improving and optimizing steps in Atlas Antibody's manufacturing and validation processes
handle escalation of customer questions from technical support, manage the technical troubleshooting and provide recommendations to tech-support
participate in generation of application data for marketing purpose 
contribute and be part of new product investigation projects
support and train more junior staff
consult scientific literature and keep yourself updated about technical advances with the purpose of problem-solving and process / method improvements.




Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have prior experience working as a laboratory engineer in a life science laboratory in industry or academia. You are efficient in your ability to plan your work and know what it means to work towards a daily deadline. You are independent, resourceful and have good communication skills.

In addition, you need the following qualifications: 


Master’s degree in life sciences or similar field, or bachelor’s degree and work experience equivalent to a master’s degree
2-5 years experience of western-blot, immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA, cell culture, immunohistochemistry and/or similar.
Previous experience in trouble-shooting and/or method optimization in any of the aforementioned techniques.
Fluent in English as working language 

It is meriting if you have experience of:   


Equipment responsibility, maintenance, service and troubleshooting
Working in LIMS/ERP-systems
Working in accordance to quality standards; ISO and/or GMP
Writing and issuing SOPs
Experience as environment, safety, and health responsible
