Laboratory Engineer

About the role
As laboratory engineer in Professional Hygiene (PH), you create value by delivering laboratory analysis and conclusions as a base for business decisions. You will be responsible for planning and executing the laboratory testing for products within the PH category. This involves testing on dispenser’s mechanics, its’ sensors, electronics, and batteries, as well as tissue products and systems. You will take part or lead in developing laboratory methods and related equipment or software’s while securing product functionality as well as customer and consumer needs. You will be part of a team of many laboratory engineers with different experiences and backgrounds where you will contribute with your knowledge and expertise in the area.
What you will do
Plan, test, analyze and statistically evaluate different products and solutions
Present, document and report test results
Work with statistical analysis and evaluations
Maintain knowledge about test methods and competence area
Maintain equipment and tools for testing of dispensers or tissue including sensors and batteries.
Develop, evaluate, and validate new laboratory methods to meet consumer and business needs

Who you are
Technical degree BSc in for ex Mechanical engineering, Automation or equivalent work/experience within a relevant field
Experience from laboratory work in a global setting is an advantage
Preferably experience from working with statistical analysis and analytical programs
Good communication and presentation skills in written reports as well as in discussions
Written and verbal fluency in English

The job requires ability to handle different tasks at the same time in changing environment, therefore you need to have a well-structured, yet flexible and organized way of working. To be successful in this role you should also be prepared and comfortable to take on repetitive tasks to secure qualitative testing data.
