Job Summary
The Material Analysis team is the centre of expertise for material analysis in Tetra Pak, providing solutions and capabilities for analysis of packaging material, paper, polymer, Al-foil and off-flavour characteristics worldwide. We lead analysis for development of new materials and our analysis is used to help development engineers and issue resolution leaders to take the right decisions for material development or issue resolution.

In this position you will report to Manager Material Analysis within the organisation of Materials & Package, Development & Technology.
This is a permanent position based in Lund, but you will work in a global arena.
What you will do
As a Laboratory Engineer, you will have an expert role in solution development and drive development and maintenance within competence area paperboard & packaging material.
As our new colleague you will:
Support projects and requesters with your expertise in testing and analysis.
Build, improve and maintain technology know-how in our competence area.
Lead and develop material analysis using the right analytical equipment.
Lead analyses and interpretation of requested test results.
Develop, recommend, and drive changes of test methods and procedures.
Responsible for documentation of test methods and results.
Lead continuous improvement activities and identify gaps & solutions.
Translate material requirements into recommendation of analysis
Knowledge sharing and methodology training of laboratory colleagues.
Ensure the validity, reliability, and robustness of analysis and used methods.
Be a part of different internal network meetings
We believe you have
As our new colleague we believe that you have:
A university degree, preferably master level within material, physics or similar.
At least 3-5 years’ experience of similar laboratory and/or analysis work.
Experience of working with packaging materials and paperboard and applying as well as developing different test methods.
Preferably experience of working with statistics, verification and validation.
Fluent in English, written as well as spoken.
Knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
In this position it is important that you have a strong drive for accuracy, results and liking to get things done. You have strong communication skills on all levels and like to work together with your team, but also on your own.
To be successful in this role you are passionate and curious about technology, lab analysis and sustainability. Quality is really important to you, and you approach your tasks with a high analytical perspective.
Furthermore, you are flexible and can quickly shift focus and take quick decisions if required.
