Your future role as Laboratory Engineer

You will be part of the R&D Analysis EMEA Team and perform chemical analyses for process development projects and support the pilot plant on our site in Stenungsund. You will work with GC spectroscopy and develop expertise in characterization of ethyleneamines.

Main responsibilities:
Prepare samples, mostly for GC analysis, evaluate GC chromatograms, and report data to support R&D projects.
Perform hands-on laboratory work, instrument maintenance & trouble shooting, and general tasks necessary for laboratory operations.
Take samples in a pilot plant under production conditions.
Contribute actively to process development projects and communicate with the project team.
Work on development, improvement, and validation of analytical methods.

We believe you bring
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with relevant experience.
Experience in practical laboratory work and in lab and equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Good skills in GC spectroscopy.
Fluency in written and spoken English, Swedish in an advantage.

Great if you have
Experience in analysis of ethyleneamines or in research and development.
Good understanding of validation/statistics.
Good knowledge in organic chemistry.

This is a temporary position for 11 months on a full-time basis, reporting to Ina Ehlers, Section Manager Analysis EMEA Ina.Ehlers@nouryon.com based in Stenungsund.
