A3P Biomedical is a Swedish diagnostics company specializing in advanced prostate cancer diagnostics. A3P’s main product, Stockholm3, a blood test for early detection of aggressive prostate cancer, has the potential to radically improve prostate cancer diagnostics. A3P Biomedical’s vision is to significantly reduce the mortality of prostate cancer, one of the world’s most common cancers. We are currently promoting and selling Stockholm3 in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, and Spain and will enter more markets in the near future, with a focus on Europe and the US.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Laboratory Engineer to join our dynamic team in Uppsala. As a member of our team of Laboratory Engineers, you will play a crucial role in managing daily laboratory operations. This position is ideal for someone passionate about laboratory work and eager to contribute to a growing company.
Main responsibilitiesSample Registration. Accurately register incoming samples and referrals to ensure proper tracking and documentation.
Laboratory Methods. Perform various laboratory methods including protein measurements, DNA extraction, and genotyping.
Quality Control. Conduct thorough result analysis and quality control evaluations to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability.
Instrument Operation. Utilize pipetting robots and multiple analyzing instruments to streamline and enhance laboratory processes.
Manual Procedures. Perform manual pipetting and sample handling with precision and care.
LIMS Integration. Work closely with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to manage data and workflow efficiently.
QualificationsEducational Background. You hold a license as a biomedical scientist (BMA), or possess an MSc or BSc in biomedicine, biotechnology, or a related field.
English Proficiency. You have a strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
Preferred QualificationsClinical Laboratory Experience. Previous experience working in a clinical and/or accredited laboratory setting.
Specialized Expertise. Familiarity with production processes, quality control, validation, as well as compliance with GLP standards.
Swedish Language Skills. Proficiency in the Swedish language is a plus, and a willingness to improve your skills is highly valued.
Personal Characteristics Strong Communication Skills. You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Quality and Risk Awareness. You are meticulous and quality-oriented, with a keen understanding of risk management. Recognizing the direct impact of our work on patient outcomes, you are responsible, precise, and diligent in tracing and documentation.
