Career for a better climate. Every day.
Stora Enso is a leading global provider of renewable solutions in packaging, biomaterials, wooden constructions and paper. Our fiber-based materials are renewable, recyclable and fossil free. Our solutions offer low-carbon alternatives to products based on finite resources. We believe that everything that is made from fossil-based materials today can be made from a tree tomorrow.

Lignode® by Stora Enso
One of the many innovation activities of Biomaterials Innovation is the development and commercialization of Lignode® - our bio-based carbon material for energy storage in Li-ion and Na-ion batteries. The global battery market is expected to expand rapidly within the next ten years, enabling new solutions in the fields of consumer electronics, e-mobility, and residential energy storage. With our renewable bio-based materials we contribute to making these solutions more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
As an important milestone in our mission, Stora Enso started operations of its newly constructed pilot plant for the production of bio-based carbons at our Sunila mill in southern Finland last year.
