Laboratory engineer HPLC-MS to Atlas Antibodies

Job description

We are currently about 80 employees who develop, produce, market and sell research reagents to scientists at academic and industrial labs around the world. We are in an exciting expansion phase and are looking for a driven Laboratory engineer!

Responsibilities
In the role of Laboratory Engineer in QC, you are part of the QC team consisting of ten employees who are responsible for Atlas Antibody's quality controls. We perform quality control of our products and intermediates to ensure that they maintain high and consistent quality from the preparation stage to the finished result. We also manufacture materials for quality control, such as cell lysates for Western blot and tissue microarrays for immunohistochemistry. The QC team reports to Group Leader Quality Control.

The tasks include carrying out analyzes and documenting results in accordance with SOP (standard operating procedure) and established routines, as well as actively participating in the improvement and further development processes of the quality control processes. You report deviations by current routines and perform simpler maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.

This position will mainly focus on quality control of recombinant protein fragments (antigens) using HPLC-MS, protein sequencing and SDS-PAGE.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we believe that you are self-driven, resourceful and have good communication skills. You are passionate about laboratory work and know what it means to work towards a daily deadline

In addition, you need the following qualifications:
Master’s degree in life sciences or similar field, or bachelor’s degree and work experience equivalent to a master’s degree 
2-3 years experience of HPLC-MS analysis of peptides and proteins 
Fluent in English and preferably also in Swedish

It is meriting if you have experience of:
Protein sequencing 
SDS-PAGE 
Equipment responsibility, maintenance, service and troubleshooting 
LEAN 
Working in LIMS/ERP-systems 
Working with ISO and GMP 
Writing and following SOPs
