We are looking for a summer worker, a Laboratory engineer for the Emerging business bio-based fibres and films team. The film developing team is working very closely with a strong focus on new technologies and customer’s needs. Your location will be Stora Enso Innovation Centre for biomaterials in Sickla, Stockholm.

As a laboratory engineer, you will develop methods for processing of materials and their related  composition that yield film materials of targeted specifications. Together with the other team members, your challenge is to develop films with the targeted technical properties and cost structure that can be sold as packaging material.
By working in the Innovation Centre you will be part of a dynamic international and interdisciplinary environment. We have high focus on health and safety and you will together with your colleagues consider safety throughout all aspects of work, and ensure that safety standards in the laboratory are in line with safety procedures and routines.

Qualifications
Are you the one? In order to succeed in this role, you have good experience in laboratory work. Your proficiency is based on ongoing studies or a completed degree within organic chemistry or material science. Experience from industrial R&D on films and/or coatings are advantageous.
You are a great communicator and communicate fluently in English, and have good knowledge in Microsoft office tools. If you speak Swedish, Finnish or German those are all advantageous. You are technically interested with a strong focus on taking on assignments that could result in useful products within short time. You are also accurate when it comes to reporting and able to communicate technical results in a good way, both oral and in writing. You have a dynamic work attitude with an analytical and systematic approach as well as excellent team working skills.  
We are flexible when it comes to working period, but we believe beginning of June until the end of August to e a great period for this job.
