The role
The Protein Technology team is growing and is now looking for an additional Laboratory Engineer who will focus on antibody-based protein analysis in tissues and cells. This position is a lab-based role applying scientific skills primarily for multiplex assay development for the analysis of proteins in various samples.
In this role you will:
• Be a key contributor to the product development team implementing and converting assay prototypes into optimized and validated assays
• Design and perform immunohistochemical (IHC) and immunocytochemical (ICC) assays for protein analysis in tissue and cell samples
• Image analysis using fluorescent microscopy
• Work in partnership with R&D colleagues
• Be an effective member of the Protein Technologies group by continuously contributing with or adapting to identified opportunities
• Follow company quality policy and safety practices, including training, lab safety, record keeping and experimental documentation.
Your profile
You have an M. Sc or equivalent degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Cell biology or a related discipline. You also have one to three years practical experience from lab work in the life science area, specifically from multiplex protein detection technologies for tissue and cell analysis. You have gained broad laboratory experience and skills in biology, biochemistry and immunoassay (IHC/ICC/IF) development, from previously work positions. We also see that you have experience from analysis of immunoassays using fluorescent microscopy (single- and multiplex) on tissue and cell samples.
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have experience in experimental design and documentation. As a person you have strong problem-solving skills, high delivery focus as well as good communication skills in English and preferably also in Swedish. You are passionate about laboratory work and know what it means to work towards a deadline.
