We provide highly validated reagents that enable leading research in biology, diagnostics and medicine for the purpose of understanding and improving human health.
The QC team at Atlas Antibodies performs quality control on products and intermediates to ensure that they maintain high and consistent quality from preparation stage to finished product. We also manufacture and quality control our own in-house materials such as tissue microarrays for immunohistochemistry. We are now looking for a Laboratory engineer with IHC focus.
The Role
In the role of Laboratory engineer within the QC team, you will be part of a team consisting of ten colleagues where you will focus on quality control of antibodies using immunohistochemistry. The tasks include carrying out lab work, analysis at the microscope, documenting results in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and established routines, as well as actively participating in improvement of the quality control processes in line with company goals. You will report deviations in accordance with current routines and perform troubleshooting and simpler maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, we believe that you are goal-oriented, resourceful and have good communication skills in English and preferably also in Swedish. You enjoy laboratory work and know what it means to work in a routine-based environment towards a daily deadline.
In addition, you need the following qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Biomedicine or similar field, alternatively a degree as Biomedical Analyst (BMA) or work experience equivalent to a master’s degree
• Experience of immunohistochemical staining
• Practical experience of histology, preferably of different types of tissues
• Microscopy and parameterized analysis of IHC-stained tissue
It is positive if you have experience of tissue embedding and sectioning or Tissue Microarray production and sectioning. If you have previously worked according to ISO or GMP, written and followed SOPs, and worked in LIMS/ERP-systems it is also a meriting factor.
