We are in a phase where we need to boost our R&D department with an additional Laboratory Engineer to strengthen the laboratory within Global Material Development. The department is part of The Global Brand Innovation Sustainability organization (GBIS) which leads Essity’s hygiene brand portfolio and delivers brand development and innovation for our three business areas: Incontinence Care, Consumer Goods and Professional Hygiene.

About the Role
As a laboratory engineer you will have a broad and active role in our global, exciting innovation activities where you will represent our laboratory in many different perspectives. In your role you will also be faced with various tasks, both practical and theoretical. You will be responsible for product and material testing, be part of projects as well as supporting the organization.
The position is temporary for a period of 1 year with a possibility of extension. The position is in our office in Gothenburg and will report to Material Development Manager in Nonwoven.
What you will do
As a laboratory engineer, you will participate in innovation projects and work in cross-functional teams
To plan, test, analyze and statistically evaluate different development materials and products are key tasks within the projects
Develop, evaluate and validate new laboratory methods to meet consumer and customer needs.
Who You Are
Technical university degree (preferably minimum of B.Sc in Chemistry, Mechanical, Textile or similar)
1-2 years’ experience from laboratory work but also welcome newly graduates to apply
Experience of statistical analysis and analytical programs is an advantage
Good communication skills and comfortable in writing reports and presenting results
Fluent in English, both verbally and written. Swedish is an advantage but not a requirement.
