Laboratory Engineer

But now we want to be even better! We are looking for a passionate Lab Engineer to join our Materials Technology & Chemistry (MT&C) team within the R&D department for Business Unit High Speed Separators in Tumba, Stockholm county (Sweden). So, what are you going to do today?
About the job
Materials Technology & Chemistry is a division within the R&D department for BU High Speed Separators comprised of specialists (experts) and laboratory engineers working with metallic and polymer materials, and chemistry and chemical engineering. The division has its own laboratory equipped with various instruments (e.g. SEM, FTIR, GC, HPLC, TGA, etc.) and testing facilities. Our team has a global function within Alfa Laval working across the entire organization. Our projects can both be short- and long-term.
The typical tasks for the position will be:
-Sample preparation
-Mechanical testing of materials
-Chemical analysis
-General lab maintenance
-Responsible for chemicals
-Responsible for ordering consumables and other lab/office materials/supplies
Who are you?
You have a Chemical or Laboratory education, you are fluent in English both written and spoken
To be successful in this role, you should be open-minded, and a good team player. We also expect you to be self-driven and eager to learn.
