About the position
As a Laboratory Manager, your main responsibility will be to run CellaVision’s s laboratory, develop required processes and make sure we have the samples and material needed to develop future products. You will work in close collaboration with CellaVision’s s Reagents division and serve as a liaison between different departments within the company as well as external contacts such as our distributors. You will have overall responsibility for making sure the laboratory is in working order and that all inventories are in place to cater to our various needs. You will build and lead your upcoming team. The Laboratory Manager reports to Director Product Management.
Key tasks as Laboratory Manager
- Be responsible for the company laboratory along with all inventories.
- Create and document procedures needed for the laboratory.
- Build, manage and lead your team.
- Be responsible for sample collection and support other departments with specific sample requests.
- Lead tests related to staining and smearing devices, reagent development, and their synchronization with CellaVision analyzers.
- Manage contacts with partners and customers to collect samples and create a structure for sample storage.
- Work closely with other departments such as Application teams, Scientific Affairs, Clinical Affairs, and Reagent Division to identify needs for future applications.
- Budgeting responsibility for all laboratory expenditures.

Who you are
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, or equivalent education.
- You have previous experience, 3+ years, working as a Laboratory Manager or Supervisor with staff responsibility in Clinical Chemistry or similar.
- You have excellent English communication skills.
Meritorious
- Previous experience in Hematology.
- Previous experience with CellaVision products.
You understand the value of good leadership, where you lead, motivate, and provide others guidance to effectively achieve common goals. You are skilled in structuring, planning and effectively organizing your work. Communication will be essential, and you make sure to have open and clear communication with other departments within CellaVision and with our partners. We believe you can analyze complex information and make decisions based on your analysis. As a person, you should have the ability to work independently, handle several parallel processes simultaneously and act calmly and stable in stressful situations. Finally, we believe you are a true team player with an open attitude, a positive mindset.
