Laboratory technician to Xbrane Biopharma

JOB DESCRIPTION
As Laboratory technician you will be a part of a team of seven colleagues working with upstream process development (USP). You will support the team with a variety of laboratory tasks to facilitate cultivation activities.

Main Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Daily/weekly preparation of cultivation equipment (e.g., bioreactors & incubators) and buffers/media prior and post runs.
- Preparation of sterile buffers and cultivation media and feeds (autoclavation/sterile filtration), and plates as needed.
- Maintenance of relevant laboratory instrumentation and control testing.
- Assist in routine sampling during cultivation, including sample preparation and analysis
- Assist in various post harvesting treatments, e.g., homogenization, depth filtration etc.
- Record data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
- Perform certain routine lab work like plasmid preparation, SDS-PAGE/blotting etc, as needed.
- Assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
- Organizing the daily work in the washing and sterilisation laboratories.
- Necessary waste handling (e.g., autoclavation of biological waste & disinfection of cell suspensions including their disposal) and preparation of relevant stock solutions.
- Stock up USP labs with necessary consumables.
- Maintain USP -80°C, -20°C freezers & fridges in a well-organized and good state.

QUALIFICATIONS
The right candidate has a relevant university education and/or adequate work experience. You have documented experience of laboratory work, and it is a merit if you have experience of tasks associated with cultivation of bacteria and/or mammalian cell lines. Strong computer skills and fluent in English, both speaking and in writing is required. If you speak Swedish it is an advantage.

To succeed in the role, you have a systematic way of working and proven good ability to plan and organize your own work. You are thorough, service minded and enjoy working hands-on in the laboratory. You like to contribute to open communication and constructive teamwork where strong collaboration, initiative and responsibility are in focus.
