Scania Supply Chain Networks, OI, is a department within Production & Logistics, with the ambition to become the leader within sustainable logistics. Our mission is to globally develop, manage and optimize inbound logistics by building flows with high quality, minimal environmental impact, at best total logistic cost.  

Logistics Supplier Management (LSM) is a dedicated group within Supply Chain Networks with a responsibility of solving escalated deviations from our suppliers (incl. logistic service providers) and to proactively support Scania's Sourcing Process. 

There are five main processes within LSM:


• Development and Crisis Management of Part Suppliers
• Audit and Rating of Part Suppliers
• Development and Quality Assurance of Transport Providers
• Common Sourcing and PD-coordination
• Landed Cost Estimations (LACE) coordination

Role description
You have a central and important role in Scania supply chain network. As a LACE coordinator, your main tasks are to coordinate Landed Cost Estimations (LACE), and support how to perform such calculations to concerned team members since it acts as logistics input in the sourcing process of buying in parts from external suppliers, for both Scania and common sourcing projects in the Volkswagen group.

Your will have daily contact with diverse teams within the Scania supply chain network department in Södertälje, Sweden. Primarily with Logistics Supplier Management team (Common Sourcing and PD-coordination) and Material supply engineering team (engineering/re-engineering of transport networks). Also with Scania supply chain department in Zwolle, Netherlands where the Transport and Overseas team are located handling overseas cost estimations. 

Furthermore, you will have close contact with purchasing department to support in matters of logistics costs, align and develop the processes between supply chain network and purchasing department. Moreover, close contact with colleagues placed globally (primarily in Germany (MAN), Netherlands and Brazil) due to diverse competences needed to move forward in projects and deliveries in logistics cost estimations.

Tasks


• Collaborate with Scania logistics nationally and globally, purchasing department and involved company going under the VW group in common sourcing project (MAN).
• Perform and deliver LACE requested from purchasing department
• Coordinate a team of employees calculating on LACE
• Coordinate with incoming Scania internal/Common sourcing requests and outgoing cost estimations
• Deliver cost estimations as input for weekly pre-sourcing board
• Deliver key performance indicators on a monthly basis
• Responsible for compile volume, weight and cost impact from sourcing decisions on weekly basis
• Own the file structure of Transport cost estimations folder and always have documentation up-to-date

Requirements


• BSc. or MSc. or relevant professional experience in supply chain engineering, transport planning and/or good administrator skills.
• Fluent in Swedish both in writing and orally.
• Fluent in English both in writing and orally.
• Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
