The role
MAJORITY is looking for Language Specialist - Latin American Spanish. This is a consultant role and the anticipated engagement will be an average of 8 hours a week.
You will be joining our Localization and Story teams that support MAJORITY's products for the US Latin American Spanish-speaking market. As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality Latin American Spanish translations to app and web content, customer relations communication, marketing material, in addition to apps and web QA. You will work closely with the Localization, Story, Sales, and Product teams.
Key Responsibilities
Translate and transcreate texts from English into Latin American Spanish
Review and proofread MAJORITY strings, mobile app and website content, release notes, customer relations communication, and marketing material in Spanish
Stylistic editing of copy for transcreation purposes
Transcreate new feature names, customer communication, and marketing material while adhering to brand guidelines
Align and calibrate language, style, and terminology. Clarify quality expectations and maintain quality control processes
Thoroughly QA all localized content and apps to ensure consistent messaging and proper functionality
Coordinate creation and maintenance of linguistic assets (TMs, glossaries, style guides, reference material) for Latin American Spanish
Identify and fix linguistic and cultural issues before launch
Act as the quality gatekeeper, voice and market ambassador for Latin American Spanish
Qualifications
Latin American Spanish mother-tongue.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Background in translation, knowledge of translation processes and CAT tools.
Experience in Marketing and Copywriting.
Proven track record of conveying a message on a local level, especially as it pertains to language nuances.
University degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or similar is desirable.
Ability to work on-site in Stockholm.
Knowledge of US market and fintech terminology and products is a plus.
