Layout engineer Cab

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Cab development is working to adapt and develop our current modularized toolbox for greater flexibility and fit for an uncertain future. Technology leaps such as electrification, sustainability, Autonomous drive, and Advanced driver-assistance systems redefine our product from the basis. In addition, RCs ambition is to increase our synergies and corporation with other brands within the TRATON group as well as with other departments & sectors within Scania. 

We are now looking for a Layout Engineer with a broad cab and Industry understanding, that can support RC in the development of new parts and solutions.

Your Role
Your tasks will be to find solutions related to modularisation, standardization, layout, and package studies within the cab.  Optimizing trade-offs between different parameters for the cab in synergy with the complete vehicle. Be responsible for and take layout lead in complex areas, solve package problems within the cab domain, and cooperate with design responsible and cross functions. The Scania / MAN / Navistar / Traton network connections are going to be part of your normal day.
You will use Catia as a basis for communication within the complex project with many involved people.

Your Profile
We are looking for you with an experience in layout work within the industry with the ability to quickly switch between details and a holistic view. A bachelor in science or master in science degree is of merit. 
You need to understand and support a team of engineers with the layout and solve complex tasks by using your technical competence, product knowledge and strive.
The ability and ambition to bridge the gaps between organizations, responsibilities, and processes to reach a result are crucial for you to succeed in this role. 


• Previous work >2 years of background within this field is mandatory
• Knowledge of CATIA and Scania PLM systems is required
