Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an LCA-analyst (Life Cycle Assessment) to join our passionate team in Stockholm.
When joining us you will play an important part in our start-up journey, from a small company to one of Europe’s largest manufacturer of sustainable lithium-ion batteries. Northvolt is already playing an important part in the transformation to a carbon free society and the team at Northvolt is strongly driven by passion for sustainability and the environment.
As LCA-analyst you will be part of the Environmental team, working to makes sure we are producing and recycling the most sustainable batteries in the world. You will be working closely with other teams in Northvolt as well as with external parties such as universities and our customers sustainability experts. Your task will be to make sure that we are fulfilling our customers environmental demands, assessing our supply chain and that we are constantly improving our environmental performance. You will be reporting to the Sustainability and Compliance Manager.
You have experience in this field and you are willing to drive large, innovative and challenging projects with high demands. Your knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment is deep, with 3-5 years’ experience of LCA and LCI assessments and you are experienced in data collection, LCA modelling and LCA software such as Gabi or Open LCA (or other equivalent software).
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
LCA & LCI assessment of Northvolt products and operations
Assess Northvolt’s supply chain
Data collection
Develop LCA methodologies, scope and system boundaries
Support and guide our internal teams to improve even further on environmental performance on our products
Cooperation with our customers sustainability experts
Participate and drive LCA meetings and workshops with customers
Participate and drive LCA focused trainings, documentation, and workshops with suppliers
Regulation compliance and support to Sustainable & Public Affairs Manager

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
A relevant university degree in MSc or MBA
3-5+ years working experience in LCA, LCI or Carbon footprint calculations
Experience in modelling in LCA software
Experience in project management
Track record of successful achievements
Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background
Must have worked in multi-cultural environment
Experience and interest in manufacturing industry is a plus
Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
Highly organized and result-driven
An eye for detail
Ability to have a holistic vision
In depth knowledge in LCA methodologies and modelling complexity
Proactive and goes beyond expectations
