Lead 3D Character Animator - New Games

Your role within our Kingdom
You will join King’s Stockholm studio to lead an animation team who hard at work creating dynamic and beautiful hand- keyed animations for the next generation of mobile games. This is fast and exciting work in a highly collaborative and agile team who are able to iterate quickly to explore gameplay, visual style and technology. If you enjoy a variety of creative and technical challenges and working on new IP then this is the team for you!
Skills to create thrills
You are a highly creative person with a passion for games, who has previously worked in the gaming industry.
Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritize your and the animation teams tasks and be responsive to project deadline
You are able to deliver clear and consistent feedback to the animation team that both elevates their own work and enables them to learn and grow.
You have a deep understanding of animation principles with ability to create strong and dynamic keyframed poses
Relevant experience in an animation leadership position with a strong track record of creating appealing character, creature and object animations, preferably in Maya
You are able to craft appealing animations in different styles and an interest in exploring and setting a best- in- class animation style for the game
Able to take ownership of the animation discipline while partnering closely with art direction and other discipline stakeholders
You have expert knowledge of the technical constraints, optimization and implementation that world- class game animation requires
A great communicator with great interpersonal and organizational skills
Dedicated in learning and developing your skills and those of your team

A portfolio/reel demonstrating exceptional keyframe character animation is required.
Bonus points
Previous experience creating casual and / or mobile games
Experience working in an agile project environment
Ability to rig and set up physics components
