We are responsible to develop, maintain and to some extent support our shared SCADA systems at Scania’s various production units in Europe and are now looking for a Lead Automation Engineer to our team in Södertälje
Your tasks
In this role, your primary tasks will be:
• Design and develop solutions within the SCADA area
• Act as the link between SCADA and surrounding techniques such as MES, machines, network, IoT etc.
• Act as the link between the product team and the Södertälje local delivery team to support in pre-studies for new projects, design Scada solutions and implementation of projects
• Lead and support the local implementation team during the implementation flow
• Cooperate and exchange knowledge with SCADA implementation teams spanning different geographical areas
• Participate in Scania’s change projects to secure the quality of our deliveries
Your profile
We believe that you have a degree within the Automation area and several years of experience in similar roles. You understand what it means to support a producing unit and enjoy working with various tasks in the area.
In earlier positions you have obtained extensive knowledge about different techniques and products in the area and have successfully implemented large scale solutions. You are comfortable with PLC/SCADA systems in general and are well familiar with Siemens products such as Ignition, SIMATIC WinCC and TIA Portal. If you also have experiences in SQL server it is an advantage.
You have a good analytical ability, can see the context at an overall level, but can also dive deeply to solve more technical problems. Your personal qualities are characterized by a sense of responsibility, social skills and quality awareness. You enjoy to take a leading role where you secure that your colleagues can benefit from your knowledge.
You are proficient in English in both speech and writing. We foster a flexibility culture where we want our employees to work from where they can add the most value. For automation and SCADA solution the physical presence plays a vital part and we assume you either live in the area or are able to re-locate.
