YOU WILL 
 
With a rapid expansion of the electrified range of trucks, buses, and engines, the battery assembly is a prerequisite in the transition to fossil-free transport, and for Scania to; launch new and updated electric products annually, as well as have half of the sales to be electric by 2030. With the battery assembly in operations, we have one of the key enablers in place to accelerate the shift to electrification.
As Lead Automation Engineer you will lead and support the local implementation team throughout the project life cycle and bridge the gap between SCADA and complementary technologies like MES, machines, network, IoT. Other responsibilities include;

Design and develop cutting-edge solutions within the SCADA domain.

Collaborate with the product team and Södertälje local delivery team for pre-studies, Scada solution design, and project implementation.

Foster knowledge exchange and collaboration with SCADA implementation teams across different geographical areas.

Contribute to Scania's change projects to ensure the excellence of our deliveries.


 
YOU ARE 
 
We seek an individual with a degree in relevant field of technology: electrical-, automation-, computer engineering or similar and have substantial experience in similar roles. Your understanding of production unit support and versatility in handling various tasks is crucial.
Your track record should demonstrate extensive knowledge of different techniques and products, with successful implementations of large-scale solutions. Proficiency in PLC/SCADA systems, especially Ignition and Siemens products like TIA Portal and SIMATIC WinCC (or equivalent), is essential. Familiarity with SQL server and programming languages such as Python is a definite plus.
You are a motivated individual with strong analytical skills, capable of both strategic thinking and hands-on problem-solving. Your sense of responsibility, social adeptness, and commitment to quality are traits we value. As a leader, you enjoy sharing knowledge and thrive for solving complex problems with technology in a simple yet innoative way. Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) is mandatory.
