Lead Backend Engineer

Lifesum is growing, and the platform team is no exception, which is why we're looking for a Lead Backend Engineer to dive into a multitude of complex, technical projects as well as lead the backend team to make sure we are always improving. Responsibilities and what you will do

The backend team consists of 6 engineers that are working with the Lifesum platform. As the lead backend engineer you will:

- Lead the backend engineers regarding technologies, architectural patterns, and technical approaches
- Make and drive architectural and technical decisions
- Write and review high-quality code and technical documentation
- Learn, maintain, and improve our existing codebase as well as represent the backend team in internal meetings


Are you the one we're looking for?

To be successful in this position we believe that you have

- More than six years of experience in backend development
- Experience designing and developing microservices and event-driven solutions
- Experience building backend for mobile applications and experience from working with in-app purchases, push notifications, and sockets
- Worked with legacy code
- Previously been responsible for driving technical projects and road mapping


If you have experience from driving technical development in a lead role before, we would be even happier, but we would love to talk to you if this seems like a logical next step for you even without lead experience.
