Lead Buyer of Sourcing Office, Turkey

The Category Manager shall contribute to ensure Bufab is recognized as a well-organized global player acting professional and with high requirements on sustainability, quality, service, and competitiveness in 2026, providing world class supplier base.

The sourcing organisation of Bufab are both global and regional, but mostly built on regional skills and resources.

Category Manager is a key position to reach Sustainable Leadership. The Category Manager is responsible for the strategy of the specific category and shall secure reaching the overall Sourcing KPI´s as well as the development and implementation of Group strategies. 

Main responsibilities and tasks
- Develop existing suppliers.
- Find and develop new suppliers.
- Supplier Audits acc to our Bufab Best Practice process.
- Escalation claim handling.
- Handle RFQ: s for the sisters that need that support.
- Sourcing office will be the lead buyer for most of the suppliers (A, B, C1)
in the country.
- Analysis, manage and do parts segmentation as well as master data management of the suppliers, business analysis and reporting connected to the area.

Required Qualifications & Competence
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or business Management;
- 2 - 5 years’ experience in an international sourcing organization or manufacturing company
- Smart negotiation & process skills
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes: Category fasteners and machining.
- Project management and change management skills
- Experience from (Fastener/ Switchgear/Auto component) manufacturing or multi-warehouse company is an advantage.
- Familiar with ISO, IATF standards and requirements
- Experience from manufacturing or multi-warehouse company is an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial, team player, “Solutionist”.
- Willingness to travel in the country.'

Based in BUFAB location in Istanbul or Ankara.

Fluent in English, oral and written.
