The Future is Electric! Electromobility is changing the automotive world, and we are now looking for you who want to be part of this change happening in our industry. You who want to change the future by creating transport solutions for a more sustainable environment. Together with a great team at Electromobility within Volvo Group, you can be part of this journey!
Within the Electromobility department, we work with the design and development of electromobility systems and components such as energy storage, motor drives, and charging solutions for Volvo group products. About the role
The opportunities are endless, and that’s why we are now looking for a Lead CFD Simulation Engineer who wants to work with advanced 1D and 3D simulations. You will be part of a global team of experts and be responsible for the early development of new technologies within the areas of electrical energy storage systems. Together with your team, you will run and participate in a wide range of projects with both short and long-term goals and strengthen the ESS organization with your expertise.
Here, you will perform system simulations to evaluate the impact on the battery and its attributes – such as range, power performance, and thermal aspects. You will also initiate physical tests – analyze the results and validate the simulation methods. Since you are a structured person, creating technical documentation of the methods and reports of the analyses comes naturally to you. With your passion for your work, you are not afraid to present what you’ve been working with to team members and stakeholders outside the team. Agile is our way of working. Together with your team, you will be able to paint the bigger picture, identify the objectives, and set priorities while also coordinating internal and external work with other departments and suppliers.
