Lead Cost Program Engineer

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Lead Cost Program Engineer.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
Lead a team of cost engineers in building roadmaps to steer the organization towards achieving product cost targets throughout the product life cycle.
Lead a portfolio of companywide initiatives aimed at improving profitability.
Lead deep dive reviews of product designs and manufacturing processes together with subject matter experts to discover cost opportunities and risks.
Transform and execute the processes by which we consolidate and report product cost improvement effort across design, materials, logistics, manufacturing, and warranty:
Develop impact analysis methodologies consistent with company policies and objectives
Create a clear process to prioritize and schedule the implementation of opportunities
Cascade lessons learned to continuously ensure optimal product/process fit
Build and developing tools to enable standardization of cost planning activities
Ensure the validity of cost targets
Ensure coordination between functional groups to drive the execution of key opportunities from product development through serial production and end of life
Influence organizational planning to ensure adequate resources for executing profitability initiatives

Requirements:
Master’s in industrial engineering, Operations Management, Business, Accounting or related fields (engineering degree preferred)
· 12 years experience working in manufacturing and/or design engineering
Experience leading cross functional teams and creating clear business processes and workflows
Experience creating structured reports or dashboards utilizing reporting tools such as power BI, Confluence, JIRA or others
Experience utilizing continuous improvement tools such as PFMEA, Design for Manufacturing/Assembly, Design For Six Sigma in a manufacturing environment
Experience in production management or SIOP activities
