Workdescription We are strengthening the Design Engineering department at Saab Aerostructures for our activities with both military and civil products.We are therefore interested in you who are an experienced designer or design leader. Military activities are primarily focused on Gripen and design of the airframe.Work includes improvements to the existing airframe as well as further development of the aircraft to meet future demands.In the role of Design Engineer you will produce design solutions in Catia V5 from the concept to the finished product inclusive of documentation.You will work in close co-operation with, for example, design engineers for system installation, preparations for production, and stress engineers. The civil activities will initially, to a great extent, be conducted on site at the customer's premises to facilitate familiarization with the customer and product requirements.Once the basic design is frozen, we continue the development work in-house with frequent contacts with customers and partners to facilitate interface with the surrounding structure and aircraft systems. Qualifications We are looking for a graduate (BSc) or (MSc) engineer with experience in aircraft development.You will be motivated, creative, meticulous and actively interested in your work, as well as easy to work with, and have good command of the English language, spoken and written.
