The Team
We are an international team working Agile, managing parts and systems such as battery trays, battery lids, brackets, gaskets, thermal protective structures, and dealing with multiple joining techniques. We have the joy of doing all detail design work ourselves, it is 100% Built to Print parts and we create all technical documents enabling our supplier base to manufacture our parts.

What You'll Do
You will manage the design work of our enclosure parts and systems, for this, you have full support from your team colleagues and support teams for detailed design & CAE work. Keeping track of time plans, deliveries, reporting system, issue management as well as keeping a good dialogue with suppliers, manufacturing, purchase, etc. in a cross-functional environment is a day-to-day part of the job.

You will be involved in frequent meetings with our suppliers to discuss the technical solution and related issues to manufacturing and assembly. In the same way, you will be deeply involved in dialogue with our different C-plants and manufacturing engineering, as our batteries are subjected to final assembly there. In this role, there will be a need for some traveling, to visit our different suppliers and vehicle plants in order to have a good dialogue around your parts and systems.

Competence is Important
You have a minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanics or equivalent work experience, and a couple of years of experience from detailed design work within the automotive industry. 

Experience in designing and developing mechanical parts like aluminum extrusions, HPDC, machining, welding, die casting, sheet metal forming or from crash integrity is meritorious.

Due to that, you will take on a lead engineer role, previous leadership experience will be considered meritorious as well.

Personality is Key
As we are designing “from scratch” many times, you enjoy creating new solutions, fixing tricky problems, and are being able to think outside the box and simply love to take on a good technical challenge together with your team. 

Due to that, you will spend many hours in discussions with different stakeholders, you will also need good communication skills and to enjoy being in contact with a lot of people. There will also be a lot to keep track of, which will be easy for you since you’re structured, organized and good with priorities. This also contributes to you having an overall picture of the team deliveries.
