The Lead Developer is responsible for providing technical and domain guidance to new and existing clients to ensure best practices are maintained while meeting specific business requirements utilizing Optimizely’s solutions. In this role, you will lead elicitation of client requirements, functional business solution design, and define work for the development team.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for developing comprehensive project requirements, including functional design and feature criteria.
Works with designer, business analyst, and project manager to prepare specification documents, wireframes and additional data models as needed
Participates in regular project scrums with development, design and project management teams
Provides “voice of the client” and re-enforces functional narrative & client’s strategic goals to development team throughout the project lifecycle
Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of Optimizely DXP platform’s standard integration architecture and data elements.
Provides technical consultation and client guidance during the initial phase of a project by leading and facilitating the discovery workshop sessions.
Conducts meetings with clients and third-party providers to discuss and analyze new integration requirements.
Partners with internal Project Management to ensure the solution is aligned with the technical and financial project scope.
Drafts the integration specification document that will be used to guide internal development teams to create the integration points between the site and the outside systems.
Serves as an SME to the internal development and implementation team throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Lead a team of developers for the B2B Commerce practice
Collaborate with the broader Expert Services B2B Commerce team to continue to innovate, deliver, and lead customers in high quality services delivery.
Experience
5+ years overall business experience, with client leadership attributes and engagement skills oriented towards determining requirements.
3+ years managing software user experience/web design requirements.
Optimizely product experience preferred.
Experience with B2B commerce platforms preferred.
Practical experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Including the use of a front-end framework such as Angular, Vue, or React.
Demonstrated ability to define concise and comprehensive specifications.
Creative problem-solving & risk assessment skills are imperative
3+ years of SQL Server data analysis and query development. Understanding of database concepts and information models critical.
3+ years experience with platforms that interface with back office systems.
Experience with eCommerce related systems preferred, including payment gateways, tax systems, content management systems (CMS), product information management (PIM) systems, etc.
