Lead Engineer

The role:
As ADAS Lead Engineer for ADAS system, you will be responsible for hands on delivery of ADAS Driver Assistance Active Safety: Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Assist, Emergency Lane Assist, Blind Spot Monitor and Assist, Rear Protection Monitor and other safety features.
Responsibilities:
You will have previous experience in delivering ADAS features and defining functional and performance requirements\KPI’s.
You would have previous experience in being involved in delivering worldwide homologation for features.
Successful history of managing ADAS software development with suppliers or being part of supplier team.
An understanding of architecting different ADAS systems, whether from simple, single sensor configuration with limited functionality through to complex multifunction, multi sensor functions. The partitioning of networks to provide reliable robust communication to deliver these systems needs to be understood.
Familiarity with ISO 26262 electrical functional safety.
Experience working with a range of communication systems (CAN, Ethernet).
Excellent communicator with the ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues as they arise.
Knowledge of change control, product definition and change management processes will also prove invaluable.

Knowledge / Experience:
Essential:
Degree in Electronics/Electrical, Mechatronics, Software or Automotive Engineering.
Able to anticipate, translate and develop customer requirements into tangible feature developments
Understanding of ADAS system elements (sensors, actuators, controllers)
Expertise in ADAS L0-L2+ Features
Able to actively participate in system FMEAs and related validation activities
Able to actively participate in the delivery of ISO26262 safety case work products
Ability to build relationships and influence customers
Experience of electronic control system development and the related New Product Introduction processes
Problem solving, analysis and decision making – able to quickly evaluate the pros and cons in order to reach the most appropriate technical solution
Innovation - take a creative approach to forming new product features
Focus on Quality – uses quality processes to develop robust solutions and minimise defects.
Initiating Action – Identifies issues at an early point and take prompt action to resolve problems

Desirable:
Experience of communication standards
Familiarity with INCA or CANOE calibration testers or equivalent
Familiarity with CANALYSER testers or equivalent
Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes
Track Requirements Progress Ensure traceability of test cases and test results to customer requirements.
Adapt existing test plans according to specific customer project requirements
Plan and manage test coverage per release based on existing test plans
manage test team, test documentation per release
Analyse test failures to identify incorrect test cases vs. software defects
align w/ platform team and SW PCM on bugfix strategy
Proactively push to improve and streamline all areas of the testing process. Qualifications
Expertise in Integration testing
Experience in Automotive protocol: CAN, UDS, OBD-2, LIN.
Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE), regarding verification, validation and integration process areas.

You should be systematic, thorough but also capable to adapt in a quick moving environment where the prerequisites can change on short notice.
