Arbetsbeskrivning
We are a small team of Lead Engineers within the Engine Controls department that develop both SW and HW. Our main focus is in the early phases of the projects and we have Lead Engineers for both Scania, MAN and Navistar with the ambition of being an agile team that can focus on the most important areas for the moment. Our work includes resource estimating new projects, aligning/agreeing upon requirements and developing concepts together with our customers and developers.
Your role
As Lead Engineer you will have a central role within the department and are the contact between our development organisation and our internal and external powertrain customers. In the early phases of development-projects you will have the main responsibility to find a common consensus regarding technical concepts and product requirements. Together with the engine controls leadership you will define new cross-functional concepts and clarify requirements that enable our organisation to efficiently develop the right technology for our customers.
You will together with two other Lead Engineers take overall responsibility of one or more customers such as MAN, Navistar, Scania Power Solutions or Scania Truck and Bus. However the ambition is to have a flexible team where we can shift focus between customers in order to ensure deliveries and balance workload when needed.
Our team is also responsible for the departments Road Map so another task for the Lead Engineer is to make sure that the department has the right focus for the future and that it matches our customers view as well. We also align the Road Map with the other departments within Powertrain development at Scania.
Your profile
You are a graduate engineer with experience of embedded systems or engine/aftertreatment development. You have previously worked with technical development or a role as leader of technical development. It is not mandatory but we value experience within system development and architecture, development of engine- and aftertreatment technology, overall powertrain knowledge and Scania organization and processes.
The role as Lead Engineer requires well developed social skills and it’s an advantage if you already have a large social network within Scania. You are comfortable and enjoy to interact in deep technical meetings as well as in larger global decision meetings. Your social skills and technical know-how drives you to take the leading role in technical discussions in order to find consensus and solving conflicts of interests.
As a person, you like working with others and leading technical work as well as growing your contact network within Scania and Traton. You are positive, organised, driven and goal oriented.
You are fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.
Previous experience of senior roles within technical development would be an advantage.
We offer
We offer an interesting and challenging job within a small and tight team where there is plenty of scope for new ideas. The role is very developing and you learn a lot from many different areas such as technical development for both SW and HW, leadership, international collaboration and company cultures, working processes and organization structure within Scania, Traton MAN and Navistar.
