The Lead Engineering team has the responsibility for Engine Controls products during development. We interact closely with all customers of the Scania Powertrain and together define our future product. As part of our team you will play an important role in shaping the next powertrain. Your role
As Lead Engineer you will have a central role within the department and are the contact between our development organisation and our customers. In the early phases of development-projects you will have the main responsibility to find a common consensus regarding technical concepts and product requirements. Together with the engine controls management team you will define cross functional concepts and clarify requirements that enable our organisation to efficiently develop the right technology for our customers.
Our team is also responsible for the department’s Technical Road Map and another task for the Lead Engineer is to make sure that the department has the right focus for the future and that it matches our customers view as well. We also align the Road Map with the other departments within Powertrain development at Scania.

As Lead Engineer you plan and lead the work, often in a challenging international environment, with sometimes conflicting objectives and requirements, which over time will further grow your skills as a positive, organised, driven and goal oriented leader.
You are fluent in both written and spoken English
We offer
We offer an interesting and challenging job within a small and tight team where there is plenty of scope for new ideas. The role has high management attention and you will actively be forming the future of the Scania Powertrains. The close presence on the global powertrain development arena will give you many valuable lessons and experiences of different cultures and ways of working. The role will actively in short time give you the opportunity to work in a stimulating and developing environment and in the long run an invaluable experience that will advance you as an engineer and leader.
