Lead Engineer for Synchronous Condensor Applications

You will be part of Large Motors & Generators, Machines in Västerås. The unit develops, sells and manufactures synchronous Machines in the power range from 5 MW to 80MW, for motor and generator applications. Your main task will be to act as a technical lead in engineering activities within the synchronous condenser applications.
This position involves working closely with customers, subcontractors and other engineers with ABB Machines.
Your responsibilities
Ensure that all technical activities are effectively and cost-effective excecuted according to contact specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
Execute assignments using established solutions while acting as primary technical interface with all project stakeholders, specifically the customer.
Provide technical support to contract managers, commissioning and start-up activities.
Responsibility for the coordination of engineering activities, also for creating, reviewing, tracking and responding to engineering change requests.
Evaluate and manage risk and opportunities.
Drive technical solutions for maximal platform reuse and compliance with customer requirements.
Interaction with customers, contractors and suppliers.

Your background
You hold a technical high school diploma.
At least five years of experience in similar roles within the power system business.
Experience from leading and coordinating teams in global environment.
Good understanding of risk and opportunity management.
