Lead Engineer Installation

Wind power is growing, in every sense of the word. The advancements in engineered wood is the greatest opportunity for carbon neutral construction. We are on a mission to design and develop a whole new concept for wind turbine towers, a patented modular construction made of laminated wood. Our technology enables wind turbines to reach higher altitudes and increased wind resources. 

Laminated wood, or nature´s carbon fibre as we also call it, can change the wind industry by enabling efficient logistics for high turbine towers in previous inaccessible locations. It also enables a substantial reduction in our carbon footprint.

The work we do is intense, rewarding and extremely complex.

The role

You will be a senior specialist and technical leader in our installation team. This team is responsible for transforming the wooden modules into an erected wind turbine tower with outstanding quality and in accordance with HSE standards. You will be part of a team that develops processes and methods for the installation, ensure that we have the equipment and tools needed and writes manuals for installation, service, and maintenance. Furthermore, the team is also responsible for contracting and managing the staff who install the towers on-site.

As a lead engineer you will have the overall technical responsibility in the installation team, this includes coaching your colleagues and prioritizing work. You will be managing sub-contractors and suppliers.

In this role you will gain general understanding of the overall requirements of the wind turbine tower, all the way from structural analysis and component development to manufacturing and logistics. You are also expected to contribute to our collaborative environment across departments. We are certain that you will eventually come to understand and embrace the full complexity of our product.

Who you are

For this role we are looking for someone with a degree in Civil Engineering or similar and at least 10 years of professional experience.

We are on the search for a skilled technical leader who is passionate about bridging the gap between theory and practice. You know when to challenge standards and HSE is always your top priority.

Qualifications

- Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Several years of experience in developing processes and tools for installation.
- Several years of experience in working on-site in for example infrastructure or construction projects
- Exceptional communication skills in terms of creating trusting relationships and sharing technical knowledge to internal as well as external parties
- Experienced and skilled in planning and structuring your own work as well as the work of your team
- Solution oriented and loves to take on a challenge and get the job done
- Fluent in English and preferably fluent in Swedish
- Previous experience from the wind power industry is a huge benefit




For this role you will be working the majority of your time in Gothenburg, Sweden. You will also need to be present at the installation of pilot towers on-site, which means that this role will include travelling for certain periods of time.
