Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills for new technologies and innovations. We have a committed passion to create and deliver iconic and desirable global products suitable for volume production. We are now looking for a Lead Engineer for Suspension Front!

Description

You will be part of our Chassis team and have a Lead role for Front Suspension. In this role you will have the responsibility to define short/long term strategy for our front suspension. You will also have a leading role to create “next generation suspension technology” with “Saab DNA” for next Generation Electric Vehicle. You will lead technical requirement settings on component/system level. Your background should include thorough and detailed knowledge within the area of expertise and about connected systems. You will work close to Vehicle dynamic/CAE and our tuning engineers.

This role means that you will;

- Lead technical communication with supplier through the complete product development lifecycle,
- Support the Chassis engineering and product development organization with a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge on suspension system,
- Support and write technical specifications on system level,
- Identify opportunities and/or implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce costs,
- Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products Responsible for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures at concern suspension systems,
- Establish and maintain internal and external network with suspension expertise, Assure deliverables according to project plan.

You will work together with all business areas, line and projects within our Engineering department. External you will work with suppliers and engineering service providers.

We are looking for someone who has;

- Relevant engineering experience in the work area, minimum 5 years,
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of Suspension system,
- University engineering education or equivalent experience, 
- Driver license B.

You master English and Swedish, both spoken and written.

To be successful in the role, you need to;

- Be creative, solution-oriented and open minded,
- Have good communication skills,
- Have excellent automotive industry knowledge,
- Have the ability to plan and prioritize.
