Who we are
The Side & Roof ART (Agile Release Train) is a part of the Vehicle Platform stream at R&D. As a part of this ART, the Trim & Glass Systems teams are responsible for all glass around the car including trims and cappings, rails, antenna cover and lidar cover. We are developing all our solution in-house, so-called Build to Print. The Trim & Glass area is a growing area including more and more functions, for example so-called smart glasses.
We are now searching for a new Lead Engineer for the Side Glass & Cappings team, which is one of the four teams within the area Trim & Glass Systems.
What will you do
Together with the team you will be responsible for and lead the development of our products in the car projects with responsibility for function, performance and quality. As a Lead Engineer you have the responsibility to meet the targets for the time plan, technical solution and cost. You will work in cross-functional teams and will be involved from the start of the project until the component has been introduced in production. You will lead and coordinate the cross functional team, consisting of the needed competences both within Volvo Cars and from supplier.
Who are you
You are a structured and solution-oriented project leader with the ability to drive tasks towards goals and deliver on time. You possess strong communication skills and are eager to work in cross-functional teams, collaborating with others.
We see that you have a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with knowledge and experience from polymer materials and glass. You have at least 5 years of experience from working as a Project Leader. Preferably you have been working in an organization applying the Agile ways of working. It is a plus if you are familiar with Volvo Cars product development.
