We are looking for an experienced Lead Environment Artist to join our small team to help us build our first PC game!
As Lead Environment Artist, you will define quality and construct 3D environments while managing a team to deliver consistent high-quality environmental assets and locations.
You have experience working in bigger organizations on various projects in multicultural teams. You like to try new things and have an experimental mindset, where nothing is impossible. You believe in fast prototyping and effective workflows.
*This is an inhouse position, as such candidates must be able to work in Stockholm, Sweden.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience owning and effectively communicating about projects and workflow
5+ years of professional experience as an environment artist
Professional experience working in stylized art styles
Professional experience working in Maya, Photoshop, Substance, and Z-Brush
Good people skills and experience managing teams
Shipped at least 1 product on either console or PC from beginning to end.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create the look and feel of 3D assets ranging from hard surface structures to organic foliage
Influence asset creation pipeline with your understanding of optimized low poly asset creation such as modular kits to take into account efficiency, speed, and cross dependencies
Work with various materials from hand-painted diffuse to PBR workflows
Work on lighting for various environments
Push concept designs to the next level while taking into account technical and design constraints
Communicate with various other disciplines to ensure all assets are optimized
Provide support and serve as a mentor to more junior environment artists on the team
Be a hiring manager for development team
