Job Description
As a (Lead) Front-End Developer in the Global Payments Area, you are responsible for the entire front-end software life cycle – design, development, test, release and maintenance and translates business needs into working software achieved through continuous attention to technical excellence and good design, with extensive use of automation and deliver a modern world class digital experience enabling H&M Group colleagues to delight and surprise our customers - today, tomorrow and in the future

Your responsibilities
You will be a part of a small cross-functional and cross-competent team, working alongside the Product Owner, Business Experts, and other Software Engineers in an autonomous and agile team, with the responsibility for creating and designing solutions that delight our end users. By contributing with your own delivery within your team you have a clear connection with the ongoing business to remain a relevant speaking partner for the employees. Within the Global Payments Area you will have a broad view of the colleague needs and see the connections between larger business goals, customer needs and priorities.

Some of your daily work includes:
Contribute with Software Engineer expertise in the Payments context to improve and develop products that solve business problem and aim to create a best-in-class payments customer experience
Design, develop and support the solutions in the products
Translate strategies and requirements into modern and scalable solution designs
Use an experimental mindset to identify, evaluate and recommend alternative designs
Collaborate with other product teams to help and provide the best end-user experience
Seek opportunities to automate, document and improve processes



Qualifications
As a (Lead) Front-end Developer at H&M Group we believe you have the ability to apply leading software development practices and present alternative solutions and technical choices. To do this, we think you have a curious mindset, excellent communication skills as well as:
3+ years of coding experience (5+ as Lead), in front-end development, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, preferred experience component based and clean code principles
Several years working with React JS and related technologies.
Experience of working and consuming REST APIs
Experience in agile software development practices (automated testing, mob/pair programming, TDD etc.)
Experience of DevOps and CI/CD in cloud environments
Have a “you build it you run it” mindset

It’s a big plus if you have :
Previous work experience in integrating with PSPs (Payments Service Providers) and Payment related technologies
Previous work experience in Payments or FinTech with an understanding of payments regulations, PCI, PSD2 etc.
(Lead) Have acted as a leader and have experience from servant leadership within an agile framework, coaching and leading other front-end developers
(Lead) Taking a leading role in modern front-end architecture and coordinate with other teams and stakeholders
