You have now the opportunity to be part of our team to support product updates already from the early studies to implementation.
We are expanding our team and are looking for a person who will be dedicated to work in the initial phase with complete vehicle studies both for combustion and electric vehicles.
We need a team member that can support the product updates by leading the packaging studies in early studies to set the direction
We support both eVehicle and BaseVehicle streams in Vehicle Stream GOT and have a close interaction with VDT’s and Technology Streams to support them in their early studies.
This means cross functional work with engineers and representatives from manufacturing and aftermarket, but also other stakeholders are involved.
Job description and responsibility
In early studies we support by know-how about surrounding and complexity, boundaries and interfaces to the surrounding.
This role will have a close cooperation with our Strategy Team as well with our CAST Team. Here you will support us in creating the Architecture road map and understand impact of new technology.
Skills in Creo and PDM-link is essential, beneficial also with knowledge how to navigate in the Volvo unique systems such as KOLA, EDB.
As a lead geometrical architect, we expect you to have insights in our complexity and variants. You will also guide less experience architects and active participate in the work load distribution and break down.
I’m looking for a person with at least five years of experience in the truck industry and experience from working with both engine installation as well as eMobility area.

Goal oriented, leadership and communication skills is needed to get the job done since co-operation is a success factor. The position requires good spoken as well as written English
