Lead Instructor for English4Kids classes - Göteborg

English4Kids introduces children to the English language in a fun and educational environment. We teach English language skills to groups of children aged up to 12yrs through games, arts and crafts, songs, storytelling, drama, as well as traditional teaching methods.
We are looking for a lead instructor to champion our classes in Göteborg. You will be responsible for receiving all materials, leading classes (with an assistant, where required due to class size), and acting as a brand ambassador for Upgrades English4Kids in Göteborg. As part of the role you will report directly to Upgrades COO in Stockholm. The role is a temporary contract (visstidsanställning) with hourly pay.
English4Kids classes will be on Saturday mornings in the Hagen area of Västra Frölunda and are 45/60 minutes (depending on age). Instructors work either in pairs and have around 12 students per class, or by themselves with a maximum of 7 students. All materials and curriculum are provided by Upgrades.
As an applicant, you must:
· Have full professional proficiency in English and have graduated from an English-speaking college or university (Teacher certification is not mandatory, but is highly regarded)
· Have experience of working with children
· Focus on delivering high quality
· Speak Swedish to an intermediate level
· Be responsible, and due to the remote working nature of the role, be able to work on your own initiative.
We are looking for energetic, positive individuals who have a genuine interest in children and are excited to inspire kids to speak English.
Upgrades Education also offers educational babysitting, private lessons and English4Kids Summer Camps. As such, there is potential to take on additional assignments.
